anybody been watching the golf see that howell won the hsbc championship.
fair play to him, born and bred in swindon and a true town fan. ive seen him a couple of times around wrag barn, in highworth, adn hes absolutely amazing and a fantastic guy
what a fan!!!!

Didn't watch it but followed his progress over the weekend, did well to finish clear of Tiger Woods by 3 shots.

From what I hear, David is a top man (maries family friends etc) and is really down to earth. Glad he is winning, seems to be getting better and better and to be top against some of those players is a remarkable achievement.
Would still beat him down coate!

I once played at Broome Manor in a group playing in front of David Howell, we offered to let him through but he declined, and although we were holding him up he was friendly and patient. his earnings in 2005 so far are
$696,949, that probably doesn't include the weekends earnings.
