Yesterday I went round to my mates house to have a few beers and play on his 'special X Box' as I am completely skint and couldn't afford to go out!   . First up, my beer review.

Had Red Stripe for the first time ever; It was nice. I forgot to take 2 bottles out of the freezer however like a trumpet! Beer with ice is horrid.

Also drank this dutch beer (6.5%) from Morrisons, it was from a funny bottle with a cork in the top. I couldn't get the feckin cork out but when it did pop it was golden and delicious (the beer, not the cork), well worth another taste, but expensive at £2.50 a bottle.

So, the X Box; Well, it was clear and lit up like a christmas tree when it was switched on. Apparently it had been 'chipped' and had loads of downloaded games on it (About 40). It was class!!

Pro Ev 5 (Inter v Barcelona) beat him 4 times in a row even though I am utter dog shite at it.

Fifa 2006 (Hearts v Leicester) and that was fairly even however Fifa is dreadful.

NHL 2006 - This is a class game! Lots of fun to be had in multiplayer mode here!

Fusion Frenzy - A wanky stupid little girly game that I am not very good at. Fun for a short period of time, may be better with 4 people.

Fight Night 2 - Class. Didn't realise you had to use the 2 analog sticks to fight and defend. I thought it quite bizzare that the only 'moves' I had was to taunt my opponent, go for a massive haymaker and to hit him illegally (I kept getting disqulified!). Anyway, once I had got used to the buttons it was a good laugh.

Topspin tennis - Ok for a bit but got a bit boring as I ended up being quite good at it and my mate was a bit Oxford at it.

Burnout revenge - Class! Great fun causing as much carnage as possible! And I won the golf style crashing tournament.

Played a couple of driving games as well that were quite cack, one was ok, a kind of micromachines stylee over the top view where you had to collect weapons and destroy your rivals. Was quite a laugh.

Finally, there was the option to play old style games so we had a shot at the N64 Mario Kart game which brought back great memories of school!

So I think that makes me a computer geek!

Also those two icy beers were undoubtedly stronger as alcohol freezes at a lower temperature than water.

Spent many hours playing mario kart 64 last year. Started getting a bit nasty though. Used to play the beach level with the short cuts over and over, great fun covering the ramp with bananas as you get the good short cut. Although you do have an advantage with yoshi or toadstall (if I remember correctly).

If you can get a couple of cheap controllers for the pc then getting an emulator and playing the original snes mario kart battle mode is fucking top. Same goes for if you get the arcade machine emulator (MAME) and play some arcade calssics, arcade versions of street figher rock. escpecially street fighter alpha 3.

This year, excluding Pro Evo, the most fun we've had is time splitters 2 on the Xbox. Me and one of my house mates had a lot of fun getting through it on co-op mission mode as well as the 4-player deathmatch qualityness. Although one of my house mates is really shit at time splitters yet tends to beat me at pro evo (although it's always close) which isn't fair.

I've got a mini-chest of drawers minus the back, with Amiga CD32, Sega Megadrive and PS2 all linked through splitters to a 28 inch telly on top.

There used to be a NES (the original), complete with gun and Duckhunt  Cool   plus others, but I've lent it to my brother and not seen for 2 years  :?  I'll get it back...
