Does the place where you work do anything for this occasion? The people where I work have decided that we all must come to work dressed as bloody hippys as a theme. If we don't,theres no way out because the supervisor is bringing in spare peices of clothes that she will make you wear. It should be quite funny actually, does anybody have any ideas about what sort of things hippys used to wear?I don't want to look like a gypo,a funky hippy maybe Don't mind doing it for the kids!

oh great....fancy dress in 6th form then, hate that. children in need is abit boring now, but yes, it is a great thing to do. just annoying when everyone makes you dress up for no reason.

I know a bit about hippys....oh bugger more nostalgia coming on.......a bird I knew, used to wear nothing more than a lacy table cloth as a sort of poncho, so you could see her tits through the little holes.
Long flowing dress things....cheesecloth shirts....Afghan coats striped djalabas...top hats..old school military jackets .....Islamic skull caps.....in fact any large felt hat.
Obligatoty sandals....loon pants....patchouli oil for smell.....ornamentally painted dope tin, think I had most of this at some time or other, except the dresses.
Shoulder bags home made from decorative stuff.....leather pouches hanging fronm your loon pants and not forgetting a head band....I used to make them from recycled football laces.
Hair longer the better....or a fro is good....for birds henna. having a pony tail has to be done and was.
