This transfer window /emergency loan malarkey is most confusing this season.
But am I right in thinking that Iffy want to make a permanent addition to the squad it would either have to be a free agent outside the windows?
If were talking strikers I thought given the limited possibilities the manager may well have someone in mind if the story was more than a media bluff.
Only two potentials I could muster though were Armstrong who has just buggered off to Rubbish & Dustbins or Clive Whingeheart. Either that or an International mercenary.
Come to think of it as mad as another striker sounds another addition and we could fill the side completely (bar the keeper) with forwards from the first team squad. All we’d need is Ossie back and we’d be there.
Must admit depending on what he did to get the sack for I’d consider give Whingeheart a trial he has a good initial short term record of scoring at new clubs and may offer a short term boost.

I believe what may happen is that the player joins on loan until the window opens. it seems that the emergancy rule doesn't exist?, Nathan Tyson seems to be headed to Wednesday and they will get him immediately, I think it's a loan with the permanent deal already confirmed for January, effectively bypassing the whole system, either that or the club releases the player and makes him a free agent (who's able to move) then gets paid a compensation payment instead of transfer fee.

Iffy spent a bit of time playing under Warnock and he's a manager who seems to collect strikers...which is why Iffy was there.
Perhaps the theory is that to win games you must score goals...if you've non scoring strikers then they'r ereally not much use so get another.

Do you think it would be wise to sell Cureton? His form shows he has goals, surely once he can bang one in the flood gates could open?

i dont think we should sell him. here we are having a go at Ipswich fans for booing parkin but we haven't exactly treated Curo and Thorpe well as fans have we? yes it is easy to be annoyed with them for not scoring goals but its a team game!

I'm not sure if I'd be averse to ditching Cureton or not.
I still believe through and through that Thorpe will come good no questions about it but Cureton I'm just not so sure about anymore.
Would Iffy use another short term loan to wrangle a permanent transfer? Seems like a bit of a waste to me.
Does anyone know what Whingeheart got sacked for yet?
Talking of ex-Darlington players I wonder if one of my all time favourites ever Faustino Asprillia is still playing.
He'd do.

Fredi Bobic was recently on trial at Hearts but wasn't good enough. We should get offer him 3 german biscuits a week to play for us!
