Although before most matches over the last two/three years the merlin has been my pre match venue I must admit I haven't been there for every game.

I was wondering whether Kinky Tom or other "song starters" have ever tried getting any songs going in there?  A la the Springbok at QPR?  Or are there any plans for such an event?

KT do you accept your challenge?  Maybe before the City match?

Must have been nearly 50/50 split in their at one stage.  Fair play to the Scunts.

Stop talking me up so much, I only sing like I think any other Town fan should.

I may not be in the Merlin being as it's a Friday night, I'd have to take the afternoon off work and persuade my dad that we should get there early, that would also depend on what he will be doing during the day.

We were close to starting the chanting when Forest were in there this season. We had about 20 near the door and were thinking of a chant, but there were so many of them that you worry you'll get embaressed once they respond. Best just to leave it quiet and not provoke.

Town would always have a chant whenever we got those sorts of numbers anywhere though. You've got to let the locals know you've arrived. Were thinking if raising the shout in their supporters bar in Doncaster (with 8 of us), that would have set the pulse going a bit.

As for City, doubt there will be many of them in the Merlin. Was 70 per cent Swindon for the LDV and League matches last season. They seem drink in particular bars, always loads of them in the Savoy. Usually a few up Old Town.

You still going up Old Town way for the pre match City drinking?, did you speak to Dave at all recently about it?.

Yes mate. Will start to spread the word after Boston.

Dave's always hungover to fuck whenever I see him, so dont really bother talking about stuff 2/3 weeks in advance. Had a chat with two of your other mates in the CGH. Was getting excited about a good FA Cup trip, but we'll get one next round.  Yes

Dont fancy Mythr Tydfil though.  :run:

At least it was an improvement on two weeks ago. In a word. Mess.

None of them travelled to Brentford. Shame, we had a decent turnout and a top day.
