Im going and will be going via a34 to oxford through northampton and up the m1 surely thats the quickest way? You could pick me and my dad up on the way in that case.  You basically go past my house. |

Better to go up M5 to Brum, then M42/A42 up to the M1. That's the way I travel from Leeds to Swindon and having tried every route over the last 4 years - that's the best at the moment... A419/417 - M5 - M42/A42 - M1 - (Junction 38 ) A637/A642 to Huddersfield (cross-country) |

yea the quickest way is defo up the m5, m42, m1 way, roughly the same mileage wise, but if you get caught behind a truck on the a320, and with all the roundabouts too, it takes a lil extra time at 3am, so cant imagine what it'd b like in the daytime!
