I've just read a rumour on the 606 site, whilst I realise it's bollocks, just wondering how you'd feel if Honda did take over inject some cash and change our name to Honda Swindon, or something similar.

Would you be prepared to sacrifice our name for the lure of the filthy dollar??

HSFC til I die....

Would be lovely to pick up the Adver one day and read that Honda's come in for us, wiped our debt out, gonna build us the new "Stadio della Honda"....

But alas we are dreaming....

Oh well, league 2 here we come.

Basically it's some fella on the 606 board saying "I've just heard a rumour that Honda are wanting to invest in Swindon etc....."

Nothing at all really just got me thinking.

Honda are always rumoured to be investing in Swindon, I remember the rumour about them wanting to put in £6 million in the premiership but they have no interest in English football so it is all nonsense.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if they did though, if they changed our name to Honda Swindon we would still be Swindon it'd just be like the fa cup sponsors, it's always still called the fa cup.

Nobody does anymore, after the deals with axa then littelwoods expired they decided that sponsorship for the oldest cup in the world was gay and the fa cup sounded better than the fa cup in association with axa insurance.
