Never moved house before, anyone on here have any idea what you should do about moving broadband, sky or BY lines? Not sure if I have to give a months notice or just call up on the day.

Any ideas?

Think with BT you just have to tell them you are moving and then re-order broadband when you know your new number.

Sky you take your dish etc with you and then they come out to re-install it, think its £40 - you need to call them to tell them though.

You dont take your fucking dish with you for fucks sake.

They put you one up when you have it installed at your new place,it costs nothing.

With Sky i think it's free but you may have to check.

With BT me and Mrs Magic are keeping our same number for when we move which is done free of charge and takes a phone call to do.

This way with your broadband it will pick up the number too but you have to check your phone exchange can cope with whatever speeds your using. i.e 2meg etc.

it's all very simple. Well seems it anyway

It will save you £40 Asher, think about how many Pints you could get for that. Smiley
