Decided I need a holiday so am looking online. Found some ok prices on Dominican Republic, has anyone been, whats the drink and food prices, and where the bloody hell is it? Is it hot in January?

My sister just went there this morning. I took her to the airport. She said if you have been to the caribean before you wont like it because its the crappest Island. But if you have never been you will enjoy it as its different. Bob went last year when that hurricane chased him out of jamaica.
