Just got back from Prague and feel battered from 4 days of alcohol abuse.
Have to say it was the best New Years ever spent on the Veranda of a club overlooking the Charles Bridge champagne in one hand and the lovely Martina in the other.
Can't recommend it enough it was superb and beats the usual anti-climax of New Years hands down.
12% beer at 50p a pint (nightclub prices!) and despite the two inches of froth on the top it goes down very nicely, and far to easily.
It was fucking freezing though. Waiting outside for about ten minutes in the run up to 12 was like being sat in a freezer, I was shivering like a crack addict by the time I went back inside the club.
24hr drinking just can't be beaten as well!
Sadly I can't say I ever made it to a single closing time and that's with 04:30 being the earliest we left anywhere.
Only down side was the hotel being a bit of a trek into central Prague and the bars being a little to spaced out to stumble from one to the next. That said the feeling of discovering one of the vast amounts of friendly little bars tucked down a side street made the beer taste all the better.
Taxi drivers are a bloody menace but that was to be expected and it does seem that in the central Wenceles Square half of Nigeria is on the hussle.
Glad I booked the rest of this week off.
Goodnight
