anyone recommend a good DVD I can get out tonight...would quite like a comedy or a horror. Yes I am a saddo staying in on a Friday night but needs must and no I dont want a porno thanks!

28 days later is very good, (zombie horror action_ although its been out a while so you've probablly already seen it.
Cant think of any decent comedies that I've seen recently
I very much doubt this has helped your quest at all.

Get yourself a film called 'Can't hardly wait' - teen comedy in the American Pie format - in my opinion it is better though.

Good god you people watch some bad films! Hitch?!?!, the english version of Ring Two?!?!?! A Tale of two sisters isn't bad, but there are better horrors out there.
It all depends what you like in your horrors, if it gore, a french film called Switchblade Romance will do the trick. Koma is is a good Korean horror. Just keep away from any American horrors, all the recent ones have been remakes (and not as good as the originals) or just shit! Ring 2 is both of these.
But the movie that everyone should watch is ONG BAK, the best kung fu (muay thai to be accurate) movie to be made since Jackie Chan was a young man. The guy in this film (Tony Jaa) is already being called the new Bruce Lee, there is no wire work (like the matrix and all it's clones), and quite simply it kicks arse! So watch it now before it gets remade by the stupid Americans!
