Anyone driving, if so where is the best place to park? Do we look for out of town parking and tram it in?

Under Wellens we parked about 10 minutes away in a side street.

Is this on trainline? Which times have you looked at?

I can't get anywhere near £50 return

Showing £65 total, out Saturday (£41) 08:40 - arr 10:59 with no changes.

Back Sunday night, £20 dep 5pm.

I think we can safely say that trains in the UK are way too expensive.

Of course they are. If you make them cheap too many people will try to use them

South Western Railway has now been re-nationalised, I want to believe. But I am yet to see a substantial drop in fares for that area when I use them. Saying that I’m pretty tactful when it comes to train usage and when to take them so I’m never paying any sort of exorbitant amount

I parked on Littleton Road near junction with bottom of Oaklands Road...bit of walk up the hill but was free.

Thanks, I've got a driveway for about £14. Not ideal but only a 5 minute walk.
