Anyone had their ears syringed lately? Got one really bunged up. Can’t get an appointment til next month.

I’ve tried the traditional methods - paper clip, cotton bud.

It’s a yearly occurrence for me and no hassle as they use a electric pump with a tube which pumps Luke warm water into the ear. Up until this year it was free at my Doctors practice but now they have stopped doing it so I would have to go to somewhere like Boots or Specsavers who charge £60

If your planning on having them syringed when you have your appointment make sure you have been putting ear drops or olive oil in your ears a week or so before as some won’t syringe them if the wax is too hard.

I’ve done the ear drops. Just got an appointment at Specsavers in Melksham next Friday. £60!

Should be ok then! If the water pressure is set too high it can be a little uncomfortable on the ear drum and can make you a little dizzy.
