Even PB must surely admit Brewitt was very good today

Think Mooneyraker will like the LSPod rebrand over on Twitter.

Flynn:
- What do your take? Three points!
- Second have we were more professional. First half we were sloppy
- 1/2 time talk was to be careful as we were going to let them back in. Wanted shade to take on his man
- Can't give Bogle space.
- Responded well
- Newport are a tough team who work hard. We knew they wouldnt roll over
- Stepped up everywhere in the second half.
- Really enjoying watching us. We are making good strides.
- Cain is nearly back. Clayton back and Miles made his home debut
- We are a good team. If we took our chances at Bradford we would have won. We should have scored more today.
- Cain 'might' be back next week. He's been running today, but its an odd injury
- Concentration was so much better today. Educated decision to bring on Clayton when we did
- Trialists have done well and are smashing lads, but we aren't doing anything yet. Flynn doesn't just want to bring players in (for the sake of it, from context), so will just have to keep monitoring them.
- Salford is a tough place to go. Know they have lost today, but that's off the back of 3 wins. We need to keep plodding on and not get too high or too low after individual results.
- Wish Newport nothing but success. Its a club I love.

I struggle with Phil Smith…

I’d pay an extra £10 per stream for a “mute analyst” button
This. I'd absolutely love an option just to hear the crowd noise.

Haha, brilliant. I’m genuinely pleased for him and McEachran to have done as well as they have from a standing start. They’ve barely missed a game between them.

Brewitt edging towards cult hero status…? His post match celebrations are great.

This is not hindsight but Brewitt was fine from the very beginning

Correct. In his first game (Carlisle?) he looked exactly the type of defender we’d needed. Never bought the “limited” argument. Look how much play goes through him.

Don’t think Brewitt has ever looked particularly bad but last season looked like a player who had been without a club & hadn’t played in a while when we signed him.

A pre-season was always going to do him a world of good…

Nice moment with Shade where the crowd were urging him to take on his man and then he eventually did do, skinned him and put in a good ball. Ran back to a good reception. I know the home atmosphere gets stick but there is support there to be utilised.

I’m with you on that. A few people made their mind up about him straight away and he is gradually proving them wrong. I’ve always thought he was quite decent but appears to have improved vastly and his passion is endearing himself to the fans.
