I remember Norwich losing 7-1 at home on the opening day to Colchester a few years back and going on to win the league title that season.

True although they did sack Bryan Gunn and hire the manager that just beat them as a result!

Yeah because Norwich went and took Colchester’s manager…

My worry if I was a Wrexham fan is that their squad really isn’t that good tbh. New signings can change that but it’s a different type of player now and project now. Hunger players aiming to help get you out the league is different to 34 year olds who can double their salary going down 1 league

They did indeed. Did the starting manager get the hessian bag and the new one make it happen? Or am I making that bit up?

It’s the old Championship to PL gap analogy. There is a huge gap from National League to League 2 as is the Championship to Premier League. As they’ll find out, yesterday was just a taster.

Just had a nose at the Wrexham forum. Not a meltdown. But critical of the US tour, would appear that they’ve not long come back and some suggestions that jet lag could have played a part. Accepted that MK tore them a new one. Plenty of wake up calls. Not happy with the team put out, exposed and overrun by a physical opponent. They haven’t asked for anyone’s panic button yet. We’ll see. Away to Wigan Tuesday, can see a defeat to nil as a nailed on bet. After that a tricky away visit to Wimbledon.
