Was supposedly interviewed for the Plymouth job. Must be worth considering at least.

Kennedy with GG as assistant by all accounts.

Anyone who agrees to have GG forced on them as their assistant cant be taken seriously as a good option. Why is Gunning still employed? Why is he bullet proof? All a pile of shit.

Yeah i cant get my head around it either. 2 managers didnt want him in their backroom staff so they create a pointless job for him. Makes no sense

Sounds like it's him.

Saw Harry Watling mentioned too. Yeah, me either
Tbf, his record as a coach isn’t half bad.

Exactly. Judged not good enough but two very different coaches. Given meaningless jobs at a club trying to cut every cost going. Has a poor 18 games interim, and is not relieved of duties immediately at the end of the season. If the rumours are true he is now forced on a head coach as his assistant. WHY?

If barnet gave us the chance to speak to Brennan. Why not just take Brennan as head coach and let him bring who he wants as assistant. Why force Gunning into the equation?

Something does not add up and it stinks.

…that one I had to google.

Doesn’t read half bad on paper tbh.

Then again, Jody Morris looked good on paper and he turned out to be the worst manager we’ve ever had.

Even Mark Kennedy’s record at Lincoln doesn’t look that bad…it’s somewhere between Flynn at Walsall & Flynn at Newport. Sure that’s not a ringing endorsement but doesn’t sound like a complete catastrophe either…

What’s the clubs obsession with Irish players and managers.Every time we have a link,a quick Google and there Irish.

Just seems strange.

Maybe the club are only dealing with one agent and he doesn’t charge fees to Swindon in the deals..

Seemingly Clem's wishlist is

* cheap
* must be able to work with our cheap skeleton staff in place

And that's it. Hence why the managerial hunt has resorted to staff scrabbling around for basically anyone who is willing to work under those conditions.

It sounds like Kennedy may well fit the conditions, a Dublin lad so may work with Gunning. (I'm reaching a bit here)

Gunning is one of the boys on the take, clearly. He's a mate they're taking care of.

Hoping the ex-Prem player rumour isn't Troy Deeney.

Must be local-ish and accepted a job at FGR. No chance he'll get another opportunity anywhere else either!
Thought he spoke quite well on the Peter Crouch podcast, he definitely wants to persue a career in management still.

Watling does seem like an impressive individual having read up on him and watching a couple of videos of him talking and taking training sessions, I wouldn't wish us on him at the moment though.

Think at a decent club with an actual structure in place he could do well, we'll have missed the boat by the time we're anything like that unfortunately.
