That should have been a goal for us.
No composure in the final 3rd. Miskick from Tomlinson and a poor effort from Wakeling

Swindon are awful under Morris.

Awful performances all season - as a club and a team

Have we got any game changers on the bench?

Aren’t they all under Morris?

Khan looked pretty decent till Morris got here.

Khan has been pretty meh all season, along with the rest of the midfield - we should be looking at better caliber of player if we are serious about getting out of this league.  George Mc has shown glimpses, but that is about it for me.

It's not terrible, but it is uniformly quite bad.

Positives... Tomlinson has looked alright, decent outlet, largely blameless defensively, but miskicked our best chance of the half. RHM is trying and has caused them a few issues, Williams has had a few moments of quality. We've played quite a few nice balls over the top that nobody has got onto the end of. FBT looks dominant defensively in the air, less so on the ground.

Shade - I get why managers see something in there, he's got all the athletic qualities, but he really does look like he's encountering a ball for the first time whenever it goes near him. He just doesn't seem to try do anything with it. Brewitt is having a torrid time defensively, but has pulled out a few very nice long passes. Wakeling hasn't really been near anything. The defending for their goal was... consistent with what we're seen over the last few weeks.

Their keeper looks dodgy, need a Newport special "shoot at all times" plan for the second half. That's the one thing Darcy can do, some maybe get him on.

Personally I think Williams is our best player today. Kept possession, won free kicks and set up our best chance. FBT has won a fair amount of challenges but the rest pretty average. RHM came alive at the end of the half. I find it ironic that without Austin, we've put more balls in the box in that half than the previous 2 or 3 games put together.
Once again though,a piece of rank bad defending has cost us

Khan has had a few good games, where he drove with the ball.  He's also had a fair few where he is literally all over the place, in a bad way.  He spends a lot of the game having to make a dart to get close to their players when defending.  He's what you might expect one of our project players to look like - good career lower down, some hints at talent that can be refined.  Have him around as a sub, get a few games here and there to cover injuries, let him bed in and grow.  Unfortunately he's the best centre midfielder on the books!  McEachran is fast becoming a poor mans Reed.  Think he has to played in the Williams role, or he's wasted - so that's an either or decision.  He's dropped back onto the central defenders the past couple of games and as a result has no influence on the games.

Overall this is powder puff stuff.

I've asked for Lavinier to be given a go, he's not doing much to warrant it.
