Well, next game so may as well set this thread up.
Expect city to put out a strong side as they know they'll be in for a tough game, in terrible weather in front of one of the most intimidating atmospheres in the world of football. They may just have enough in their locker to snatch a win.

Potential banana skin this one, we mustn't underestimate them. I think City may even sneak it...1-2

Will be interesting to see how we line up. Imagine we will go 3 at the back for this so Hunt, Odimayo and Crichlow as centre backs as they are our most mobile. Then will either be Payne if he’s injured or Williams to drop out to accommodate the extra defender. Other than that as per yesterday as the Reed & Lyden midfield works.

Easy for them just put Foden or Sterling out on the right side

If I was Iandolo I’d pull a hammy this week. After watching him give the Cobblers player the freedom of the CG and a gold watch yesterday I’ll wince every time they come towards him. Maybe close my eyes. Don’t get me wrong I like the guy for his longevity to the club under difficult circumstances but when he is good he is ok, when he is not, good god.

in all seriousness, let's assume Foden plays as punishment. What do you do?

I can't think of a way to play without sacrificing our game.

I guess it's a wider philosophy. Do we change, compact up and try to somehow limit them.

Or do we go toe to toe, keep the normal formation, safe in the knowledge that we aren't going to outdo them anyway.

I've no idea.

I'd feed Simpson on raw steak for the week and tell him to bully the shit out of their defence though

Stick to what we do and see what happens. No point dropping players etc that are not part of the longer term picture, fact is teams that come at us this season are the games we do better in. Of course it's City and i dont expect a result but i certainly wouldn't be dropping players because they might cause us more problems.

People like Conroy and Ellis may be weaker players as such but they deserve the chance to play these type of games as much as anyone after the summer

What's the best shout for parking? Been used to having Tesco's or Gorse Hill at ease for best part of a decade, but feel like Friday is going to be another level

Was in the Town End for that game, One of my early games,  those were the days, steamrolled every time we scored and no offsides to worry about.

Well sounds like a plan but he has to have the ball to do that or be somewhere near at least.

I was also in the Town End.
Do you remember about 6 of their fans came into the Town End centre and started to set a light a picture of the Swindon squad.
The left after a very good kicking.
First time I had experienced violence at football.
