Someone i know was in the Legends Lounge yesterday and apparently it still stinks of paint. I heard they used wall paint on the floors which sounds thrifty.

We were in there and have to say didn't notice it, we were up near the bar. I guess they may have done some more work down the other end so wouldn't have noticed. The thing that's obvious by lowering the ceiling is the noise, you almost have to shout to talk to someone next to you which just makes it worse

Tranmere are about to be bought by a US consortium, members of whom may have been Trump lawyer’s
That narrows is down to about half the country, i wonder if they got paid!

I was in the legends yesterday. Not rushing back. Didn't smell paint though.
I like more tables and more screens. No complaints there.
The colour scheme is drab. But can put up with it. The roof .. not sure if they ran out of tiles or were going for the industrial look..
It was pretty toasty in there. Presumably the Aircon is off or broken. Don't think this is a new thing though.
Oh and there's now a single queue for the bar which soon stretches way back, though I guess it moves the same number if people through.
But the acoustics. Bloody hell. Echoey as fuck. I've got old man hearing FFS. This and the heat did my head in. One and done!

Talk on the radio yesterday about the new ownership groups throughout the lower leagues.
Carlisle’s owners have spent £4m on a training ground and £4m on the ground, including two actual fanzones, rather than some fencing.
Tranmere are about to be bought by a US consortium, members of whom may have been Trump lawyer’s, but also have experience in football with Roma.
Burton have millions.
Even Walsall were bought by wealthy US owners.
I’m quite bitter that we’re left with what we have. If the lower league had a raffle to allocate the best owners, it feels like we got the last ticket. We’ve done nothing to deserve this decade of decline.
I think the decline is also starting to be evident in the demographic of the home crowd too. Look around, and there aren’t many 15-30s. They’ve not been attracted in. There’s no data to back this up of course (although the club should have it) but I wonder if we’re storing up significant crowd reductions for the future. Younger people are not bound to the club in the way those of us who started in the 90s were.
I think there are interested parties- how the likes of Walsall, Burton etc could be considered a better prospect than us with our history and potential fanbase is beyond me. The issue is obviously the current shower refusing to sell- the only way to ratchet up the pressure I guess is if the interested parties go public as until they do it’s all speculation. This is where the trust should play a key part

Add to that Gills and Wycombe too, I dont think we are worse prospects, just that we have an owner who will not sell unless its at a vastly inflated selling price so that anybody would be mental to pay. Also their owners were willing to listen to offers, something Clem does not seem willing to do.

Well, we know where we're goin' But we don't know where we've been And we know what we're knowin' But we can't say what we've seen And we're not little children And we know what we want And the future is certain Give us time to work it out

This is a very good point. I have a 20 year old son who has vague memories of the PdC era, but really has no interest in "his" club anymore. I haven't been yet this season, I just can't be arsed to put myself through it. We are sleepwalking into the National League.

I appreciate you probably can’t answer this, and it really isn’t anything personal. But what are the Trust currently doing? It’s very quiet, we are in free fall, crowds are falling, interest from fans is at an all time low, the club is being run into the ground, we are yet again on course for our lowest ever finish, and the Trust are silent? We are desperate for them to come out and say we need a new owner etc, say something, anything, but there is nothing.

‘Conflicting views’ was how the Trust set up was described to me yesterday!
Sounds familiar.
