Sorting the wheat from the chaff is nigh on impossible. Who to believe? I was convinced that by now some clubs would have stopped trading, yet the majority recruit pretty much as usual.

Most businesses having to absorb relentless losses month on month shed staff and close.

Football clubs are strange beasts.

we had a great laugh at the forest game. Call it gallows humour, or whatever. was a good day out.

and Benjamin was offside, the scoreline flattered us
One of my favourite away days, coincidentally also the most drunk I've ever been at the footy.

Same that game was brilliant for just how much below the level of Forest Town were. Wes Morgan played for Forest that day I believe? Was a cracking day out despite the loss, I seem to remember several tongue in cheeks chants towards Christian Roberts. Did Lee Peacock hit the bar from memory? I'm sure someone did when it was only 2-1...could have been defining but unlikely, Town were a bit shit but we embraced it.

Yes we hit the bar, Peacock and then the flood gates opened.
By the 7th was having a crack with the car park attendants.
Love Nottingham and spent plenty of time in the City. Used to date a lass from West Bridgford and both clubbing and drinking in the City.

In constant contact with the American group and hoping they will allow sale of the club without the court injunction Mr Power says as he thinks the court case could drag on for another year after the date they gave.

Ah Trevor Benjamin, the flying wardrobe. That was my eldest lad's first away game, he had an absolute blast, seats right by the pitch so he was close to everything going on, bizarrely really good atmosphere and goals flying in (he didn't realise they were mainly against us). And he had a cheese and onion pasty at half time, which was the only bit he remember when we got home Smiley Doesn't even like cheese

if we are genuinly that close to the edge, why bring in new players? like mirisolou - especially when Grant is in the bench

sure we might get relegated, but it's better than going bust

I wonder how many ‘after x games contract automatically gets renewed’ we are trying to avoid?

I thought so!

Ah West Bridgford, the posh part of Notts. Yep Notts is (when allowed) great for a few drinks and also pretty good going up Pelham St for a few improtu live gig. All the way up there, past the Bodega to the Jam Cafe and nip into Rough Trade on Broad St to flick through some records Smiley

Sat on that makeshift wide open stand made of scaffolding and planks of wood, bloody freezing and a long journey home. Think we left home at 7am and got back just after midnight.

He said that? (I can't listen to it.)

Large finances was what he actually said I think, which could mean anything compared to his.
