I think if they are paying those types of wages they should be allowed. They lost millions on the romanian coke head!

Exactly, why wait for the dipshit FA to do it. Fair play, the FA test has jurisdiction, but doing your own tests for peace of mind is surely OK?
A bit like saying you can't check the oil in your car, only the garage is allowed to do it!

It's because, as they say, if clubs test their own players they could then cover up drug use.

I suppose, but if the Fa is testing as well then they'll get found out anyway. I'm not saying clubs should test instead of the FA, but I see where they are coming from.

You can understand why clubs want to test their own players, especially as Chelsea have been bitten twice in the last few years but i do think it is best this way as it removes, any official way anyway, of covering up.

What the fuck? How can the FA get their knickers in a twist because Chelsea are drug-testing their own players?!
Methinks the FA are trying to take the heat off Sven...

Perhaps they should drug test Sven - did you see him sat whistling looking into the air about 2 mins before half-time....off with the fairies!

If Chelsea drug test their own players and one is positive, he can then be injured for the next 4 games till its out his system.
Most footballers will know alot about what drugs stay in the system and for how long. Alot of them when injured knew how long they would be out for, take drugs but knew full well they would be out the system by the time they played again
