Ended that way too, according to the Brentford Twitter account. No details provided but they promise a match report later.

Official Stfc Twitter
Our second match of the day against Brentford B finished 2-1 with Hallam Hope and Scott Twine the scorers.

Can’t keep ignoring Twine’s goals. He should start next Saturday against Charlton in the Caribou Cup.

Likewise with Hope, when you consider his record last season not much more he can do.

Disagree. We need to hit the ground running first league game so Charlton game should be full strength. Starting XI should be as per the Bristol City match other than for injuries or a new signing as that was clearly chosen as the strongest XI we can currently field.

So M. Smith, J. Smith, Caddis nor Odimayo get a look in?

Caddis was recovering from an injury otherwise he would have been at the City game, Wellens said so and J Smith only arrived yesterday. The other 2 will undoubtedly start the season on the bench unless injuries dictate. The Bristol City match was pretty much our starting XI. Once the window closes we could have another 2 attacking players in the squad so that will see Twine struggling to even make the match day squad. He needs to prove himself somewhere with a run of games and he just isn’t going to get that here.

It’s essentially another friendly. Be a decent, almost competitive game for him to be given a chance.

Don’t play Smith, or Smith, or Smith

Well if we don’t have the two strikers we need by the Charlton game he’ll at least be sanding the bench. Could bring him on as an impact striker if the shit hits the fan in the latter stages of the game or to give him a run out if we’re hammering them.
