With all this talk of name changes or account name changes, I'm wondering how many of us were going to be called something else (parental discussions, pre birth etc).

I'll start us off. I was going to be called Holly if a girl and Jack if a boy. When I was born, seems my Dad forgot about registering me as Jack and so I became Kev. Also was going to have 'Lou Macari' as some of my middle names... instead he opted for Swindon. True. Story.

Follow on.

Was also going to be called Holly if a girl, due to being due on 25th Dec. Somehow ended up with Ian instead. My sister chose it. Bitch.

Still, could've been worse. My mum liked Wayne.

Haha, I was born on Boxing Day.

Yes Wayne would be unfortunate... I'm taking it your surname is Kerr?  Soapy Tit Wank

It's not too late if some of you want to be called Holly.

My parents and my aunt and uncle seemed to be in a bit of a battle for the name Rebecca - if I'd been a girl, that would have been my name. Then my cousin was called Rebecca, born about four months after me. About a year after that, my younger sister was born and my parents made it her middle name anyway.

I often wonder if there was some behind the scenes drama there or whether my family are just not terribly imaginative.

My older brother was called Mark but he died aged just 3 days so was named, if he had been still born then I would have taken that name instead.

We let my 3 year old son name his brother, he liked Thomas the tank engine so Thomas became his name.

Definite drama. People are twats about baby names.

I was going to be called Jamie, regardless of whether I was a boy or a girl.

My boy is called George, and I've been accused of naming him after the royal sprog. I pointed out that my boy is 9 months older, but that still doesn't stop some. Some people are not very bright.

My very much not welsh mother wanted to call me Yian. Luckily my very not much welsh father intervened

My siblings were given my grandparents names as their middle name. I was given my middle name because my dad went to the registry office, hadn’t talked about a middle name with my mum, panicked when filling out the form and chose the first one that came into his head
