I don't remember that one but do remember a friendly against a European club a couple of years before, just after Hoddle had taken over, which we lost by a closer scoreline. But I can't remember who!

I remember this game, a larger than expected crowd turned up because Hoddle was playing, and i'm sure kick off was put back 15 minutes (not enough turnstiles open).

This was mentioned in another thread a few months ago, but Luis Figo played in the Lisbon game, and scored.

Fairly sure we were there for both of these games.

Was re-aquainted with my old programmes a couple weeks back. Had both those games in the batch. About 6 pages worth.

Definitely the Sociedad one. I remember how strange it was when they scored that there was complete silence without away fans. Of course, it’s a bit like you’re average League Two game!
