Just to double check so I am not being a twat, car is due an MOT 18th June, looking on line the gov have extended them all for 6 months so will actually only need doing 18th December as it stands?

As it stands yes, providing of course the car is roadworthy.

Mrs car is due in July mine August so will see if can do hers closeish to the due date and put a bit of daylight between hers and mine.
If the 6 months ext is still in place of course

Mine was due end of May, it's been extended until end of November.
Same with me,   30th May extended to 30th November,  Google 'check if car is taxed',  that'll take you to the government website,  don't use any of the others,  that will show you if you have the 6 month extension although it will not update it until the current MOT runs out as there are currently talks of ending the scheme.   Anyone already granted the extension will be ok, it will not be withdrawn.
