Taking this one in.

Any parking tips that don't include the official car park that takes forever to get out of?!

You can park in some side streets I understand. If you park in the city centre it is about a 20-25 minute walk. I am going to do the latter

Plenty of street parking however fills up quick.

As it's your end of the ground and just 5 minutes through the park I would recommend Barn Park Road. Although early arrival is recommended here as well.

Used to have a mate at Uni in Plymouth, as well as a former squeeze (yes it sometimes happens) from there. Any of the off streets around North Hill are always well worth it for a free space. Seeing as most Uni students are away, there will be more spaces than normal.

Once parked up, head back down the hill towards Drake Circus roundabout, grab an Oggy's and a couple of Beers. Then via the Train Station and Central Park you can leisurely make your way up to Home Park. Would take about half hour. Factor in a couple pints and feed then add an hour.

I actually quite like Plymouth. Fun times. If you've more time and stopping over, The Barbican is a nice area for a decent restaurant and relaxed drinks any time of year.
