I initially thought Istanbul but wasn't sure. However I used to spend some time in Switzerland with a friend so I'm plumping for Zurich (Grasshoppers & FC)

I’ll give you other team from Budapest as I had never heard of them myself. Vasas.
Cryptic clue for the final city. They had their cake and ate it with this achievement!

Dundee indeed! Well Dun(dee)!
Of all the 21 teams on the list Dukla Prague has to have the best song to feature them?

Here’s the article. It was in The Sun...so it must be true.

Would Malpas have been involved in the United semi?

Both Malpas and Sturrock were in the DU side that season, so would have played unless injured.

Pretty staggering that a team like Dundee United would get to the semis of a European Competition, Dundee even more so! Dundee isn’t exactly a big city either.

Yes, but made it more interesting.  Dundee is not only famous for cake but marmalade, never been a great fan.

However am grateful to the Keiller family, for producing the wealth that allowed Alexander to buy Avebury and preserve (I miss Nev) what's left.
