What’s the chances?

First home game this season and last season both 3-2 wins and both 7024 attendances. Weird or what.

Reg, when was the last time we won our first 3 opening league games?

As Quagmire says Wise/Poyet season start.

A season to note would be SSP's first under King.... win first 2, and the third is at Bloomfield Road v McMahon's lot... Wellens is playing for them. A nice little 0-0. It then turns to complete shite with something like 1 win in 12, King just about hangs on to his job, with the infamous Rage against the Machin incident.... where he finds Mel sizing up the managers's office.

The daddy of good starts though has to be 63/64.... Bert's Babes, first season in Div 2.  The season of Six Days til Saturday... for a couple of heady months it looked like we'd be regaining our place in English football's elite, lost with the Great War.

Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining game. Hopefully that will persuade a few more to make the trip down to Exeter on Saturday.

The Dennis Wise season, we won the first 6.

Went to the Chester game on my own and persuaded my mate to come with me to the Wrexham game for a nailed on win No.7...

Reluctantly he came with me to the Boston A fixture and made amends, my god that day was fucking cold. Sunny, with a chill coming off the N. Sea bbrrrrr.

I remember being at an away game, Bournemouth I think it was and he was just going on non stop about Jamie Ward signing for us.

I chatted to him at Supermarine once and he burped straight in my face. I win!

That is unusual.

Under Wise and Poyet we won the 1st 6 games in the league that season, our only defeat being a LC game vs Brentford at home. We only had 2 defeats in the 1st 15 league games

Hopefully we can match or beat that amazing start this season.

Jamie Ward burped in your face? A bit rude!

Are we, as fans, blind to our own team?

I say this because a Carlisle fan who was at the game said the Swindon players threw themselves to the ground at every opportunity and conned the ref, who got wise to it in the 2nd half and we got very little.

I watched via iFollow and can’t remember anything of the sort and the stats which come up on iFollow at half time said we got 5 free kicks and them 6.

Maybe we all do it.

I can think of two instances where our players maybe went down a little too easily, and those are debatable. We didn't need t play dirty, we were the dominant team for 75-80 minutes.

If that's the case Carlisle themselves were whiny shits at times, throwing their arms around moaning at the ref for no particular reason.

Dont think the player needed to go down for the red card in all honesty, nothing wrong with the challenge whatsoever Wink

Anybody see Preston’s sending off for Mansfield? Absolute hospital challenge. Made Carroll’s look powder puff.

Funny then that the red card came in the second half, after the ref had 'wised up and we got very little'!!
