So thinking about squad numbers, do you think there will be much change? Doughty changing from 3 to 7 for example? Or Broadbent going from 33 to 6? Maybe Rose taking the number 4 like he had at Pompey?

He chose 3 out of the two available numbers he was given. If i remember correctly his mrs told him something about 3 being a special number!

Regarding overall squad numbers i guess we wait for more transfer business being done before we see how they divide them up. The one that annoys me is Conroy taking 26, fucking John Terry lover.

Has anyone noticed how all the new signings have short surnames?

Can I be the first to suggest a conspiracy theory that Power has instructed Wellens to sing players with short names to keep down the costs of printing their shirts? 🤔

They score goals and Wellens won’t be the only one singing their names.

Any one remember when TAH was here? Jedco said he had to have a certain number as it wouldnt fit on the shirt even though he had the same name on a different number the orevious season.

On another note, anyone know if that debt from 1959 was ever repaid?

Glad that Doughty has a proper number - Didn't look right him wearing 3.
Also nice to see that some one will wear 13. Players don't generally like that number - Pathetic superstitious wankers.
Why are there always gaps further down the list? Just allocate the numbers as you go without the gaps - It plays havoc with my OCD  Huh? (another reason why I like the fact that 13 has been taken)
Can't be many Clubs who haven't allocated number 1.

Oooohhhh so when we eventually get another GK he will wear No 1 so that will mean he will be first choice...right? neither of the current keepers clearly wanted the pressure of being No 1
