Would like to book a trip overseas in the summer but passport expires a month before planned date. Obviously going to get the passport renewed in the next week or two but can I go ahead and book a trip today for the summer? I don't think advanced passenger info needs to be provided at the time of booking. Can't remember  Smiley

Edit: flights with easyjet, don't know if that makes a difference

Renewed our 14Y/O’s pisspot for an upcoming business studies trip to Euro Disney* at the arse end if Feb. Had it back within two weeks of sending it off. *Yep, had me stumped also, still as the spawn of working class council house stock. Not to mention slum clearance vermin from the smoke, I thought if it’s good enough for Diane Abbott et al to upgrade their kids under the guise of socialism for the many not the few, I thought he deserved the break to go.you should be ok to book your trip with Mystical Goat, Reg & Paul.

So easy to do online now. Takes less than a week to come. Can even use photos from a phone.

Piece of piss albeit an expensive one.

Are they issuing the new Blue passports already ?

My sons expires in May I think, I'm wondering if it would be better to wait until after the end of march to renew or just get it done now. They cost a fucking fortune so I dont really want to have to get him a new one after a couple of years if they suddenly decide everyone needs new "British" ones rather than the old EU style

Think the plan is just to issue the new ones when your current one expires.

Although it’s brexit related so fuck knows if there is an actual plan

I assume that if we have no deal in March, all passports become technically invalid, although whether receiving countries would wish to interpret it that way is moot.

Why would a British passport become invalid in the event of a no deal brexit?

If the UK leaves the EU without a deal, British passport holders will be considered third country nationals by countries within the Schengen area after 29 March 2019.

I wonder if any of our resident Brexiteers, would like to bring us up to speed on the 106 technical notices that we were told about in the summer, to prepare ourselves as good citizens for the no deal Brexit..... as I missed it.

Nah. A resourceful chap like you who keeps tabs on everything anyone posts on here no matter how long ago it was to prove a point should be able to garner that info. And TBH I don’t give a flying fuck 😁 I may give it a nano second when i’m sipping a stiff rum based drink in two weeks roasting my fat Tory arse in Barbados. Then again I may not. i’ll wave to you when i’m watching the 3rd test match in St. Lucia though 😉.
