I guess Ben P and Matty T need a run out to keep the blood flowing. Kellan G then, would seem to be likely to stay as if going back little point in him playing this game.
FGR have a game tonight in the Boycott trophy... not sure if this is good or bad, means they'll have had 2 games since we last played, so either tired, or a chance to bed in new players and keep match sharp.
My gut instinct is that we've usually been half asleep when returning from our annual admittedly pre Christmas free weekend.

I thought Brophy was off, seems little point in risking him getting injured if clubs are fighting for his signature?

How so? A home game and didn't lose, prob the reason for those who wanted Flitters replaced by Alan Mac and Matty T a couple of weeks back.

We've only drawn 2 games, and one of those was a last gasp equaliser v Chesterfield... last season I think the only development game we won was v Cheltnumb. Games v them should never be taken as meaning anything as there are forces at work beyond comprehension.

[/b] Roughly translated as ‘I looked up our recent result history for the Saturday immediately post-Round 3 on the swindon-Town-F.C. site, and realised to my dismay that we usually win on it. I therefore did the same for the Saturday immediately post R2 and, given that we’ve only won on 2 of the last 4, losing that sitter away to Sheff U on both occasions, thought I could drop some vague and tenuous hint that we will lose on Saturday’. 🙂

No, gut instinct is what it says, a feeling not backed up by research. So, with regards to research, the getting knocked out of the cup early is a mostly 2010's phenomenon. I can find 5, 2 wins, a draw and 2 defeats, therefore somewhat indeterminate. However a trip to Bramall Lane, should be avoided. FGR got beat by Yeovil last night... here's hoping they picked up a few knocks etc.
