Evening Teffers. Was hoping one of you may be able to help... Years ago, about 30 I guess, i heard a song that's recently popped back into my head. I have searched the internet to no avail. All I know is the chorus, it goes 'I'm a fighter pilot for the USSR, a fighter pilot for the big red star.'

That's all I've got...

Thanks for any help, and for the usual nonsense that some will post.:-)

Stiff Little Fingers got their name from one of their songs

" and if it it wasn't for your stiff little fingers nobody would know you were dead "

Saw the Vibrators many many years ago at Brunel. SLF too.

Fuck yeah! Cheers Barry. Must admit, given I couldn't find it, I assumed it was more obscure. Anyway, that's put a smile on my face. Thanks.

You're welcome. I know nothing about punk, so thought it was obscure!

It was by pure luck I found it, so that offered no satisfaction. Strings of lyrics all failed and searching for "punk song about ussr pilot" on DuckDuckGo had that video at about the 8th result.

I see they're playing the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool soon. Are you going 4D  Hmmm  an absolute must for the old punks of my acquaintance, 4 days of standing around, doing imaginary pogoing for fear of a heart attack. I turned down te invitation to attend.
