Does anyone know a good place which does jewellery repairs. I managed to break the end of a cufflink from the bar and rather than try and solder it myself and make a hash of it, I would rather get some professional advice and repair.
High street jewellers can send away to assess and repair but would prefer someone local if possible.

Deacons?
Also a decent place on Market Street, John Steward I think.

No idea in Swindon, sorry - but I would recommend you take it to a good independent place, I had a ring repaired and it was quite a tricky job as they had to let some gold into it as the ring bit had snapped, Samuels wanted £90 to do it a local place (with a old guy with one of those monocle magnifying glasses) did it for £30.

I've used John Steward in the past. I'd no idea he was still operating. Reckon he'd be cheaper than deacons

I've always used Iles, near the tented market.
Always had good service from them and not too expensive either.

Yeah, I've used them for a watch issue and he was good.

As mentioned already but deacons have served me well in the past. Not the cheapest but I've had my wedding ring resized twice and the work is flawless.

Another vote for Iles, personal service without an extraordinary bill!

Not a recommendation as I haven't lived in Swindon for years, but is Morses on Victoria Road still trading? One of the Morse brothers was in my class at school.
