48 schools closed in Oldham today due to snow. It seems to be the worst hit place in the country.

Looks as if we'll be having a weekend off unless things warm up pretty quickly.

Had a nose at the Oldham forum and some of them are saying there's no way the game will be on.

This seems to happen to us a lot... Have a fixture postponed just as we're hitting really decent form.

A night game at Oldham is less than ideal. Pah.

Who do the comments? If so they don't, you leave the snow on until you know its finished, otherwise the pitch freezes. If no more snow after 3 today, they can then think when's the best time to get it off. Anyway it will be off as the stands will be dodgy still. Think if on it would be a nailed on draw. Best to play them when they are safe or down Wink

In theory. Its a complete bastard to get frozen snow off a pitch Smiley

But yeah, stand safety...

I hope it's on!  Making a weekend of it visiting my daughter in Preston, although driving across the Pennines might be tricky.

Forecast there is snow until 3am then clear, then sunny from 7am. A small chance then maybe.

Spent most of day around Etihad so approx 7 miles from Oldham, snowed whole time we were there but only 10 miles into journey home ( swindon ) it had stopped.was fairly slushy around the ground but wasn't really settling on roads etc.

Oldham tweeted they expect rain later and warmer temps tomorrow so are hopeful

Relieved in a way as cancelled train ticket yesterday afternoon.
