Good sensible comments by BOO in the EA imo.   The fans get frustrated taking risks passing from the back, but he thought we need to mix it up a bit more, sometimes long and sometimes short, so that the other team don't know what we're going to do. It's something Luke wants to use and get better at as they do in training.

Some of us fans suggested this, didn't we, and it seems to be happening only in the second half at the moment.

Its probably worth testing for the first few minutes as lots of clubs at this level play incredibly compact and thus will not want to break that up with the strikers high pressing our defenders, however our players need to get confident enough to mix it up when it obviously isn't working, the problem of having very young defenders who are terrified of making a mistake.

We stopped most of the passing back to the keeper and backwards and forwards under Ling and now he's gone we have gone back to it.  I can see the point of short passing out of defence and even from the keeper at times but it is the players being put under pressure by opposition when doing it so fcuk it up and keep doing it that is frustrating
