Whilst we eagerly await the new season and the players we may sign, I thought I'd see what everyone else would like to see done to the ground ready for next season to improve the match day experience. The likelihood of any redevelopment or new stadium looks as far away as it always has. Things that annoy me in no particular order:

1/ A relic from the 90's that stopped working properly years ago but embarrassingly we kept it on life support until it finally died. Normally never used to care about it until the 5-5 draw with Sheffield United when it would have been useful! Time surely to get a new one?

2/ The piss poor floodlights. More bulbs out than working. Shocking and frankly tin pot.

3/ Matchday food. Seriously how hard can this be to organise? Sub standard overpriced rubbish and a poor selection.

4/ Rocking Robin Haka. Kill him. Now.

5/ pre match music. Do we only have one old tape with the same old shit on?

6/ The PA man who shouts Goallllllllllll when we score. Stop that please it kills the celebrations.

7/ Finish the lower concourse on The Arkells stand so it runs the full width. Looks odd.

Anymore ideas people. God role on the new season. COYR

I like the frieze thing of players down the ages, on the join of TE and Arkells, but it ends I think with Charlie Austin....could do with being updated.

1 - I'm assuming you're talking about the scoreboard? Yeah. This could definitely benefit from being replaced.
2 - Agree.
3 - Agree.
4 - Seeing how many kids love Rocking Robin, I'd say keep him. He definitely has a place at the club.
5 - They did update it this season. Depending on what music license they have it may not be a cheap job to get newer music in.
6 - He waits until after the actual celebrations have died down usually. If anything he keeps it going because we usually stop cheering a few seconds after (unless it's a big goal), then as kick off is starting off again he does it and gets another cheer from the fans for the player's name. I don't have an issue with it.
7 - I think we should wait to fill it first. The TE side of Arkell's is used to store the huge water-butt for the pitch. Not that fussed until we're actually looking at hitting capacity.

I reckon more important things would be a bar in the Town End but that seems to be a taboo subject...

Just out of interest, why is a bar in the Town End that important? It's not a dig, just a general question..

Reason(s) for asking are that the Town End doesn't actually 'fill up' until a couple of minutes until Kick Off, there are pubs reasonably close-by, not to mention the Legends Lounge.. I understand that, for whatever reason, beer and football matches go hand in hand, but it's only 2 hours without a pint..

Again, it's not a dig, I'm just wondering where people are coming from, that's all.

All good ideas, improve the drainage on the corner of the TE and DRS - got to paddle through four inches of water when it rains!!  Get some stewards who actually give a fuck and help people rather than trying to antagonise them!

1. Go back to the old school half time score boards.
2. I can see perfectly well under the current lights.
3. Food in DRS is nice but the variety could be improved as could the speed of the staff.
4. I like Robin. Leave him alone!
5. Guest DJs would be good.
6. Doesn't bother me.
7. Not fussed.

Other: I would like to see some corporate boxes, maybe at the top of the Arkell's where the press boxes currently are.

Don't really give a shit about the fabric of the CG.

I just want a competitive team playing in it.

Nope, it's network rails, part of the electrification of the rail.

I think part of the reason the TE doesnt fill up till usually after KO is ppl still drinking in CGH etc as cant get one in there
Every other section has one even the away end ffs

Its not a gamebreaker just be nice to have one but cant see it happening until that stand redeveloped
If ever

That's fair enough, I've never really had a few drinks before (home) games, but then I live a bit of a way out, and would have to get the train. This would obviously make for a quite expensive day. So I've never really understood.

I've had a beer in the town end broom cupboard on it's one appearance. It was... unusual. And the above was right, normally I would have had one in Legends.
