Hire some sherpas. They could do with the extra cash at the moment.

That advert raises more questions than answers.

What can it take? What is 'it'? Why is the van parked across the tow path (and, if I'm not mistaken, in the way of the lock gates)?

Because its a BWB van and thus working on the canals. It would not be blocking the lock gates, as the balance beams would open away from the van on these tail gates.

Would a sherpa have been a suitable vehicle? It looks quite big for waterways work.

If anyone is getting some songs going tomorrow night, I think this should be one of them:

McEveley!
McEveley!
If she don't... I'll tickle her... with Jay McEveley.

He's still a legend to a lot of us. Should get a good reaction.

If James McEveley is a 'legend' in the minds of anyone then it goes to show how overused that phrase is.

Sorry.

Sorry.

For lack of a better word. I couldn't be bothered to write "He played a lot for us and played a lot of consistently good performances and was a solid player for us the entire time so he deserves a bit of love from us"

Better?

How about one to piss off the 82ers?

Chelsea fans completely discredited the word 'legend' when they applied it to their racist captain in banner form.

So use it however you wish, it's utterly meaningless now
