Eastville was one helluva shithole of a ground.
Saw us hammer them there one year - God knows what year it was - 4-0 or 4-1.
Used to be very good as a greyhound track, though

It was 1981, I was there too and it was a fucking shithole with a terrible view from just underneath the M32.

Haha, I remember going past Eastville to visit family in St.werburghs in the late 70's and early 80's, great to watch the game as we drove by.

Was there Saturday buying a chest of drawers. Was also there in 81. Went top of the league after that game, got Marks dad the sack and then got relegated.

I know it was the early 80's but it had all the hallmarks of 70's football. A pitch that looked like a field, flares (trousers) and the cars parked pitchside

We are so far behind here with the news as city fans have been moaning for days that they had wind there was a possibility that the start would be brought forward. Personally it's a no brainier it has to be earlier or played on a Sunday as their mob will head straight from the station into the pubs in the town centre where they will inevitably meet the locals and all in front of innocent shoppers. The bottom line is they are bringing too many and there's too much history of violence over recent decades
