The ever increasing number of international breaks, are now beyond a joke...it wasn't always like this.

Are these breaks worldwide or to cater specifically for the cosmopolitan PL and we are unlucky enough to have 3 internationals ?

Probably would have been one of the better attended games this season as well - they normally bring close to 1k, but can't see half that on a Tuesday night!

Certainly as this is a Euro qualifier, they'll be Euro wide.  Throw in a bad winter and we could end up with ridiculous fixture pile up.

At least with the Shitheads, a midweek fixture is likely to get a decent attendance, whereas for the likes of Thor and his norvern chums, many will lose an opportunity to  escape the soot and grime covered terraces of their cobbled streets, and miss an opportunity to breathe fresh southern air, rather than the foetid miasma of Lancashire.

Oi, there is nothing (much) wrong with Lancashire....

Realised the other week that I have now lived longer up north than darn south!

I have a friend from Yorkshire who dislikes gravy, chips and mushy peas. I can only presume he was asked to leave the county.

Quite pleased as I'm off to a gig in Bristol in the evening and which would have meant remaining sober throughout the day - a tough task for my circle of friends

So will we lose the 3 players for the whole of January and early Feb with the Asian Cup (Presume Australia) & African cup of nations (Iraq), assuming as well they can be called up for training 2 weeks prior - this could hurt our push
