To be honest our most experienced players this year ( that we currently have ) will be Ward, Harley and Williams - all three of them crap.

I'm still prepared to be won over by Williams.

Ward, whilst a decent player for us overall, is not the player he once was.

Harley . . . .

Hopefully the long term project, once self sustainable, will lead to a settled team with a few loans to push us on.
But the backbone of the team needs to our players so season on season we have some stability

No
Am guessing will be used more as a wide player/2nd striker

Well, judging by the WC the 1 up front may have been ditched a bit.

I have always been a 2 up front man - as are the majority of fans, I'd suggest

I really like the sustainability theory and am quite happy with our use of the loan system as it definitely paid off last year but it's all a bit hopeless while we're stuck with high paid experienced pros who offer us little. It'll take a couple more years to really start seeing results but by that point the fans will have turned and we'll have been forced to sell promising players due to high salaries for Williams et al.

I'm sure Cooper will persist with the 3-4-3 (5-3-2 when defending strat)
