The one player who impressed me last night who doesn;t seem to have got a mention was the small bald git in the midfield for Uruguay. Like a little pitbull - broke up play, fairly or otherwise and kept it simple.

Yes but we had Kevin Tonkinson & Rufus Smalls and we played 4-4-fucking-2, not gonna happen this time.

Looking at the table, qualification is still very doable. Provided Italy win their next 2 games

having looked again though the goal difference makes it a bit of a stretch.

Therein lies the problem
We lack a natural goalscorer

Although Italy don't (I think). Maybe they can do us a favour?

Sad day when we rely on the Italians for qualification
TBH if we have to, we dont deserve to go thru

Not sure it's that difficult TBH.

To get thru it will have to finish with us, Uruguay and CR all on 3 points.

CR are +2 at the moment - they will have to lose to Italy tonight, so let's go worse case and say 1-0, they then go nto the game with us on +1 and us on -2. So, if we win 2-0 we go above them.

Uruguay are -1 at the moment so, again, worse case is that lose by only 1 goal to Italy - that makes them -2.

If we do, indeed, beat CR by 2 goals we will have a GD of 0 - better than Uruguay an Italy. Easy-peasy!

Phew!
