I feel that Summerbee could bring more to the team in the way of experience, know-how and set piece ability than Heath, who after all is primarily a striker. I can't see him demanding a huge wage as he was on a pay-as-you-play contract at Leicester before joining debt ridden Bradford.

It would be a shame to see him leave so soon simply because King has bought in a relatively unproven, almost totally unknown youngster.

Tbh, it might push Buzzer into a big performance on Saturday, i thought he looked a little out of sorts/unfit probably, against Forest. I only want to see him stay if he brings quality to the side....didn't see enough last Saturday to make me think he could.....we'll see...

You have to remember that he's had no pre-season training whatsoever so lacks both match fitness and match sharpness, it will take him a few weeks to regain that. I thought the signs of quality were all too evident against Forest.

Its clear that he isn't going to get time though, which is ashame, because Buzzer is a legend in my eyes, but he is going to have to play well tomorrow to make King want to keep him

Especially as the young 'un he's brought it ain't no right winger! He's the sort of lad to play up front or as attacking midfield...bet buzzer wont want much money, like you say Bradford weren't exactly rolling it

Bradford were in the premiership not too long ago and I'd wager he had a decent contract there. Whether it's worth signing Summerbee depends on whether he impresses and whether we can afford him, Reg said he was poor in the reserves but it would be nice to see him here as he was a bit of a legend.

Not worth it if he won't be playing though as he'll be far more expensive than Heath, Heath plays as a right winger all the time, if he turns out to be class there's not much point.

They were also in administration not long after they were relegated, and released half their squad. Sumerbee will not have been well paid by league 1 standards at bradford. I'm still not convinced thers any ponit in signing him though

The caption under King's picture on that link should read, "Spare any change guv?"

I hope Buzzer stays BTW.

Summerbee wasn't playing for Bradford in the Premiership and they certainly weren't still offering big contracts after their relegation, they were skint. Asking Buzzer to play two games in four days, when as I've already said he's had barely any fitness work was a tall order. Personally I think he's already made an impact and deserves a contract.

I can't see him being that much more expensive than Heath and anyway, Heath plays right wing for Man Utd reserves despite being naturally a striker and we don't know if he's going to turn out to be class, especially if he was dross at Cambridge last season. We know Buzzer has the ability, talent and experience - much less of a gamble.

Yes but they were in administration because a lot of they're players were still on premiership wages, they released a lot of them but they'd still be amongst the highest payers in this division. They were not skint in the same way as we are.

Summerbee probably won't be that expensive now but may be more than we can afford, I am undecided as yet whether it's worth making it long term, I guess I don't really mind either way.

He's odviously going to be more expensive than Heath if Heath was free and it would seem he pretty much was.

Everyone was dross at Cambridge last year, 5 games for them playing in a absolutely shit team who finished bottom is not long enough to tell us anything.

It tells us that it's likely he's not going to be the next Lee Holmes. As far as I'm aware, Heath and Heaton aren't free? We're still paying some of the wages.
