Does anyone know of a good place to get discounted new furniture?
I'm after a 3ft x 3ft oak dining table,  the cheapest I've found is nearly £300. I was hoping to spend half that  Smiley

You need to change your wood type then. Solid oak is built to last.

If you're a tight git buy 2nd hand. Same quality half the price.

The furniture shop opposite the St Barnabas Church in Gorse Hill does a reasonable quality at a fair price and the owner will always try to do a deal with you.

There was a place in Cheney Manor (Darby Close, opposite Dynamatic), Easy Living furniture,  that we got our solid oak table from a few years ago, £100 extendible proper job. Used to have a place in the outlet too.

Not sure they are still going though.

Just trying to find a bargain

And yes, I am tight  Wink

I need a small table but don't want to pay a lot. Already got a £700 oak set, just want a breakfast table.

Thanks all.

Just done a search,  Batch. It's pointing me to Kemble Drive, isn't that the outlet?

Think so, their shop there went ages ago. Oh well, was just a thought.

I actually popped to John Lewis,  they have a good size table for £49! It's got oak legs, but a non solid wood top. Think I'm sold  Cheesy

next had a half price sale on recently, might still be on. we got a solid oak TV unit, a massive bookcase/cabinet type thing, a side table/trunk and a massive wall mirror for 500 quid. All delivered and ready assembled.

only downside is you need a van to get rid of the packaging :-)
