how did/do you work doing all the gas, water, electricity, tinternet, etc. bills? does one person pay it all and then the others just give them the money?

Fortunately the slums I inhabited always had card meters for electrickery.

Water should just come as a general bill so no worries there you can split that when it arrives.

Best advice I can give you is steer well clear of having your name on anything.  Nothing worse than chasing up people when everyone is skint.

Otherwise see if you can just get the lot in everyones name and get equal split direct debits for the totals.  If not open up a house account and all set up a direct debit chucking  in enough to cover what you think will be the bills and a bit more for a slush fund.

End of term use what's left (if any) for a house piss up.   Beers

Gas, water, electricity was all done by the housing agency, we all paid a fixed fee per month

Internet we split the cost of 9 months broadband, phone line and the router with one guy paying it and we gave him the money which worked fine.

Whenever I do HMO's (House in multi occupation) I put all peoples names on the bills.  Everyone is then joint and several in liability for the bills.

We had a joint bank account set up, which we all put a certain amount into each month.
