Kick off!  yep...  Better than Sensible soccer, there I said it..

Kick Off 2 multi player was simplistic looking, limited in options and lacking in depth. But it was the greatest 2 player game ever produced, because despite all its limitations there was no better feeling than curling a last second winning  aftertouch goal around the opposition keeper. The amount of "first to 30 wins" games we played over the years is testament to that.

The fact that this exists in 2013 says it all

Sensi may have been better in 1 player mode though.

I used to play a game I cannot remember the name of on PC (you could make our own teams, change shirt colours etc, which was well advanced for the time.), but it was properly broken as all you had to do was dribble to the edge of the pitch roughly near your opponent's corner flag and shoot, and the ball would magically follow the line as if on rails and slip under the keeper.

Pretty sure it was by EA, but it definitely wasn't Sensible Soccer...  Hmmm

Looks like I started a bit of a debate.

I think it might have been Kick Off, but really can't be sure.

Any way I can play Kick off 2 or Player Manager on an emulator for an Apple?

Which was exactly what happened in the Intel when we played Millwall in the League Cup Quarter Final  way back.

Now, that was a tasty atmosphere!
It kicked off in all the stands that day. Pockets of fighting throughout the match

Dont know about Apple but I have the roms on PC with an emulator, message me if you want a copy of the rom, they work on all emulators as long as you have a kick start rom too...which I can also let you know if you get an Apple one mate.

But we don't know where we've been
And we know what we're knowin'
But we can't say what we've seen
And we're not little children
And we know what we want
And the future is certain
Give us time to work it out

Kick Off had the best ever sounds for when the ball hit the crossbar or post. Fact.

Sensi World of Soccer was an immense time eater.

As was Cannon Fodder.

Taking the ball to the by-line and shooting with the outside of the boot. Ball would always, ALWAYS curve into the far corner.

As for my contribution to the old football games turn this thread has taken - Adidas Power Soccer on the PS1.
