Posting it in here because of this little gem, buried in the middle, when discussing possible alternative ways apart from having "Man Utd B" playing in League 1:

You can look at different models and what Spurs have with Swindon
Interesting that other clubs are looking at our relationship with Spurs and viewing it as a possible model for the future, rather than just a series of ordinary loan deals

Another model for the future is that they don't sign up every bloody 11 year old in Europe and then complain that they aren't any games for them to play in.

Do they actually mean having a team called Man Utd B, or just taking over an existing club and flood it with their reserves?

If every PL team wanted to that there would have to be an extra league to accommodate them. If they want to take over an existing club I'd imagine fans of said club would stop supporting them.

Why the fuck does every damn thing in football revolve around want the PL want.
fuck 'em

The day we become Spurs B is the day I stop going.

Right now I'll give the relationship the benefit of doubt.

Man Utd B in League 1. Imagine that. They'd win every week if they could be arsed. It would be a huge waste of time.

No problem.  Come on down, Man Utd B.

We swop our places and we rename to Swindon Town A in the Prem and they rename to Man Utd B in League One.

It's not entirely fair to compare with Parma, they have a completely different transfer model in Italy don't they?
