Alberto Comazzi's sending off against Rotherham was a fix.

I hope this is isolated, but I have a feeling it could not be

Three people are in police custody after an ex-Portsmouth player told an undercover reporter he had been involved in fixing football matches.

Sam Sodje was filmed by the Sun on Sunday describing how he punched an opponent in a League One game to get a red card in exchange for £70,000.

Christian Montano, ex of us, involved according to Beeb- although typically of his spell with us he didn't even manage to so what he was told to do.

Why don't bookies just restrict the markets for football matches if some of them are so easy to manipulate e.g. Time of first thrown-in or whether a certain player gets booked.

I thought the same when that Pakistani bowler bowled that horrendous no-ball that was the subject of another spot fixing enquiry.

What sort of 'nornal' punter would even thnk of betting on these sort of markets

So we have, forgot all about that.

I know it is the same thing, but in my mind kicking the ball out of play is less serious than getting yourself sent off. As a fan I could forgive the first, never the second.

DJ Campbell arrested under suspicion. Be interesting to see what the league give as punishments if found guilty.

Life bans or at least 10 years like the Pakistani cricketers. Anything less is a travesty.

They should be banished to a long forgotten footballing backwater.

Our boys Bronco Layne, Jimmy Gauld and Jack Fountain, were banged up back in the 64 for match fixing....mind you, you could still get executed for murder back then, as Gwynne Evans and Peter Allen found out.

Today's lot will probably get to do a course, on why betting is bad...

We had this discussion over Le Tissier. It's all the same to me and they should all be punished the same. Le Tissier should have been banned from any involvement in football for life. Same should happen to the current offenders.

Bit worrying it's players that are already on decent wages doing it now and you wonder how big the issue might be here.
