Sounds like damage limitation to me. It leaves the door open for Ranger to return, which I guess is the point. If he had been given the time off, I suspect Cooper would have known this when asked about Ranger's absence on Tuesday. |

From my distant view it seems like both. Given time off, missed return, clearly head in the wrong place so given more time off so that a bad situation isn't made any worse. |

Didn't he have a crash a couple of weeks ago and say he was hit by a drink driver or something, think his car was at Stratstone in Cheltenham last week when I picked my car up. Didn't check the plate but can't imagine many people having a black and white vinyl wrapped Range Rover Sport.

This could be a worry with so many games coming up over the Christmas period.
Naturally I say that as a selfish football fan, I hope the right decision comes off for all innocent parties concerned..
I was thinking the same. You would assume that as the trial approaches, there will be a need for him to spend more and more time with his legal team and I very much doubt he would be in the right frame of mind to put in a decent shift on a football pitch. I think there's a strong possibility we might not see him again (dependant on the outcome of the court case). I wasn't keen when he was signed, but he's done a good job and we may struggle without him. |
