While i was away on holiday i met a fellow Town fan and we had a debate on who has been Towns best player of the 21st century (Excluding Loans). Mine was Simon Cox on the not only what he done for Town but for what he has gone on to achieve. For what its worth Sam Parking was my favourite player. This then got us thinking on what Town players in the 21st Century has gone on to play in the Premiership. Excluding Loans and players who have previously played in the top league I could think of only two, Simon Cox and Sean Morrison who has gone on to play in the top flight I know players such as Ben Tozer and Lukas Jutkiewicz went to Premiership clubs but i dont think they played. Are there are anymore who has gone on to play in the Premiership?

According to wikipedia, Jutkiewicz played one game for Everton in the prem and has been at Championship level ever since. Carayol and Austin will probably both make it soonish.

Don't think he did. They binned him off pretty quickly after promotion. Parkin and Cox are both worth a shout. Iffy had a decent record for us but his last game was 28th December 99. Miglioranzi was a classy player.

My favourite of the past 10 years. I just wish he had been indestructible.

If he had been, he probably wouldn't have found himself here in the first place...

Yeah, his career would've had a lot less ups and downs if he'd stayed at Pompey. Oh, wait...

Much as I loved Migz and indeed Parkin, has to be Cox.
Though give it a few more weeks and it will probably be Yaser!

Cox was the better player, but I loved SSP more.
Call it a draw.

You're right, he played about 7 games for Watford in the Prem before he joined us though.

Parkin wins for longevity really. Very rare a player as good as Parkin stays here (or most other 3rd tier clubs) for 3 seasons.
None of his 'successors' have...

If Carayol plays in the Prem then there is hope for us all.
