had a dig at blair whilst giving a speach at robin cook's funeral, what a tosser. even if cook/mccririck (i doubt cook did, he was a top bloke and not one to bear grudges) had beef with blair then a funeral isn't a place for this type of thing. it's completely hypocritical to slate blair for not being there as a mark of disrespect, when you're giving a speech in front of his family and other mourners who quite obviously don't think it's the time or place for this type of thing.

if i were his wife/sons i'd have been furious.

Yeah, I caught this on the news.. what a stupid thing to do. Celebrate his life and respect his death, don't use his funeral as a platform for a political / personal dig.

Totally agree.  There is a time and place for these things and the funeral is not really one of them.  Although, i am afraid, it is quite common with people in the public eye!

I feel a bit sorry for Blair to be honest.  When is he supposed to take a holiday?  I am sure there is always some sort of excuse not to have a holiday but this bloke works bloody hard and probably needs one.

I remember Robin Cook mainly for

The Express go with "Lord Major's Pirhouette In Fire Chief Wife Decapitation" - grisly but gripping... The Sun: "Robin COCK!"... and The Daily Star: "Feel My Nose And Put My Specs There Roars Drunken Major"
